    Thanks for all your comments and tips. I was thinking about sowing a few outside on the allotment, well-protected from slugs, and just see how they go. Good to hear that works for newbie77.

    Selinasally, wow those are gorgeous and gives me a boost just thinking of all the (potential) cut flowers.

    @selinasally they look taller than I was expecting - how tall roughly were they? I'm a first time grower of them this year too and this will influence where I put them!

    They were about 75 cm tall - I put them in pots and also dotted around beds and had to stake them with bamboo canes

    Aah ok I was thinking more like Marigold/mini Dahlia kind of size!

    Hi, I wanted to follow up on my zinnias. After some issues in May with my seedlings, I sowed more in larger modules in June and they all came good! Really enjoying Queen Lime Red, and scabious mixed. They’ve been flowering for ages and I’m really surprised at how long each flower lasts on the plant! Thanks for all the guidance :)
