Here's mine Problem 1 . We faced it directly to the house so we feel like we're on stage if we sit there. We live in a terrace but no obviously nosey neighbours Have a think about the angles before you site it .
Problem 2 the plants that made up the back wall got a disease so I've eliminated them. however I'm glad because it can be a window.
No. Forget it. If you have a three storey house, grow it up the side.. It will travel vertically to infinity and beyond! It's taken me Many years to get the odd one to bend without snapping and when you do, it's a wide arc and a pigeon sits on it - game over. Try again. It seems to have appreciated the cold wet spring. I've never seen so many flowers before.
My roses are all absolutely incredible,no rust or black spot,we are detached, big garden, bungalow, totally unoverlooked, and the garden is divided into areas, rooms, the one hubby just built is in a corner by the green house.
This year or every year? Mine are all ,apart from one sulker who's on notice, are doing great this year. I think they appreciate the water and the cool weather.

Wonderful scent if you've got a ladder.
