I wouldn't recommend explosives - then all your neighbours would have them too.
Nothing for it but to grovel and grub I'm afraid.
My Flame gun is very satisfying to use on it too!
Agree with Verdun,
No matter how much you dig,some always remains to generate new growth,Gylphosate does seem to work best.
