Wisteria with flower rot

Hi, I have a 30ft long 15yr old wisteria which for the last few years has developed what looks like a flower rot. It begins to flower normally in abundance and when they have all formed and nearly fully bloomed the stems to the flowers go brown and wither, then the flowers do the same. This never effects the leaves or vines new or old and it continues to grow strong. I’ve fed it this year with potash as the flowers were forming and it has happened again. Any idea of what is causing this year after year?

I was going to say that I thought  the blooms at the top of the flower spike are the oldest so they would naturally wither away first, the ones lower down the spike are the newest so look fresher as happens on my wisteria. However, looking at your photos, I'm not quite so convinced now . It could be that the abundance of blooms (and they are very long spikes) might mean the plant needs a lot more moisture if that makes sense - sorry I can't help further Perhaps @Obelixx might be able to help, she has several mature wisterias.

Yes, ours looked like that after being frosted in April.   First time it's happened since we moved here in autumn 2016.   Never happened to the one we had in our previous garden but it was also much later to flower than the pair we have inherited here.
