Limited planter space, veg requiring planting

So after the onions that take up most of one half of the planter, and the perpetual spinach, I’ve about
51x53cm (20x21”) and the following will require planting out in a couple of weeks:

Up to 5 tomato bushes (red alert variety)

and up to 3 bell pepper plant

I’ve also at my disposal, a makeshift planter,
20cm deep, 36x74cm wide (8x14x29”)

anyone want to tell me what they’d do in my shoes?

Buy eight large plant pots or try Morrisons for the buckets that flowers get delivered in. I use those and drill holes in the bottom for drainage for tomatoes.  Put rocket seeds in your 21 inch square bit.
  • Oh should have said I’m not getting any new veg for now

Not sure exactly what your query is ?  If you have space but don't want any more veg, plant some flowers you like ?
  • Haha I’m saying I’ve more veg than I planned on, and have the above spaces in which to plant what I can, but I don’t know how to max out the capacity.
I plan on planting the tomatoes a bit deep to make their roots travel, just because they’re a wonky, droopy bunch and I want to increase their chances, but also don’t want that to mean I’ve no space for the rest.

You'd maybe get one tomato in that first planter, but with the other veg in there and getting bigger over time [the spinach anyway] that could compromise it's development.
20 cm deep isn't much depth for tomatoes though, so I cant see the 2nd planter being any good for them. At that length/width, you'd only get 2 in there even if it was deeper. Some cheap pots, as suggested, would be better to give them a good chance of doing well.

I don't grow bell peppers so can't comment on those.

The peppers need heat, so staying indoors/greenhouse/blow away plastic greenhouse is best for them.
For the tomatoes I suggest getting two grow bags, bend in half, cut, put holes near the bottom, and then plant toms in them.
