Any chance of saving a Rhododendron arborescens?

Good morning.
I live in a house built around 1860 and am lucky enough to have inherited a really well established garden. The garden has 3 large (2m height x 3m spread) Rhododendron arborescens which I adore and look beautiful all year round.
Unfortunately I also needed a new roof, and when the scaffolding contractors arrived they decided to rip the tender leaves and flowering stems from one of the trees to put the framework in place, leaving a sad broken stem. Picture below, apologies for the quality of image.

My question is: is there any way this plant can be saved? Does anyone have any top tips for ways to help the tree regenerate, especially given the timing of the damage (late May)?
Alternatively, does anyone know of a nursery that sells such mature Rhododendrons so we can obtain a replacement?
Thanks very much for reading, any help at all is much appreciated.
