Radish foliage.

Does anyone use the leaves of their radishes? Always seems such a shame to throw away all those leaves just too eat the tiny root.

Small young leaves are fine in salad but bigger older leaves get a bit tough. You can use them to make a pesto.

    They're also a useful addition to a stir-fry

I find them prickly and horrible, but they are perfectly edible so have some fun experimenting

Nice as a stir fry, just like spinach.

I fry them in a little olive oil with salt and pepper very nice. Not all the varieties have the prickly leaves

I love how this forum just pops up and answers questions I've been idly pondering, but not high enough in my consciousness to actually get round to posting anything. Two this evening.
    Thanks @Jacquimcmahon

@Jacquimcmahon  Morning Jacqui.  There are some good recipes for cooked leaves.  I like cooked lettuces too.  Here is one that could work with radish leaves:

Young leaves in salads for me but otherwise they'd end up in the compost heap but now the chooks get them so, either way, no wastage.
