Can this Dahlia be saved?

Hello

I bought a potted Dahlia about a little over a month ago. It was in flower, then the flowers faded, I deadheaded them and new flowers appeared so I was very happy. I had it outdoors occasionally on warmer days and then indoor overnight.

Couple of weeks ago I noticed the leaves started drooping a lot and everything seemed softer. I left it outdoors when it rained a lot and I'm worried it may have affected it. I had to remove a lot of brown leaves and I was left with the picture below.

Seems like a few main stems, some are green but a bit soft. The other ones are turning brown and are very soft and squishy.

Is there anything I can do to save it? I bought it without even knowing what a Dahlia is :)

A lot of problems with Dahlias this year. Probably the cold, wet spring.
Everyone likes butterflies. Nobody likes caterpillars.

To have a dahlia in flower this early it’s been grown in very protected conditions, outdoors becomes a bit of a shock.
They don’t like to be too wet when in pots as they rot easily. I’d tip it out of the pot and check for rotted tubers. If all’s well keep it against a house wall which will put it in a rain shadow until weather conditions improve.

Followed the advice but seems dead to me :(

    Shall I do something else?
