Fungus Gnats all over my raised veggie beds

Can anyone suggest a way to kill these horrid flies!! they are crawling all over my carrots seedilings, potatoes, leeks, onions!! do they harm the plants?

Could they come from very wet compost as I have cup fungus startign to spring up too, the rain just does not seem to stop either, cover with tarp when really bad. Any help would be appreciated, its my 2nd year growing and last year no gnats but raised beds are new and rainfall is high.

Many thanks

I see there's a Nemasys for fruit and veg. Bit tongue in cheek but I've got a carnivorous sarracenia in my pond margin to catch mosquitoes that seems to work well.

I have noticed them in the garden some days but not others.  They are annoying but they could be food for the birds.

I don’t think they are a problem outside, and will move on once the weather gets better and the soil dries out.  More of a problem in a greenhouse, where the larvae can do damage to the roots of seedlings in trays and pots.
