What is this weed and what will get rid of it?

Hi, can anyone help me with identifying these weed. It’s taking over my lawns front and back. Is there a home made cure or do I need a certain chemical? I have tried lawn resolve and other applications and it doesn’t touch it. Thanks, Helen.

I should say that the weed in pic 1 gets a small yellow flower on it whilst the weed in pics 2 and 3 gets a small purple flower on it. The weed looks very similar but may of course be different.

The one with the yellow flower is known colloquially as lady’s slipper but I don’t know the actual name of it.We get the one with the blue flower every year don’t know what that is ,we just cut it so it doesn’t seed ,can’t get rid of it ,sorry I’m not much help

Photo 1 is Trifolium Dubium, Lesser trefoil.
Photo 2 is some sort of Speedwell, I suspect Veronica Filiformis
Photo 3 might be Anagallis Arvensis. All common in lawns, especially in lawns that are compacted and grass growing weakly.

In small patches, you can rake them upright to cut down. The more you do this, the grass grows stronger and will keep them from spreading. The other option is to dig the patches out completely. Around 2 inches deep, and then spread some sieved compost mixed with top soil and re-seed the areas. It's the right time of year to be doing this.

Your lawn may need spiking to relieve compacted top layer and also possibly need top-dressing every spring to keep the top layer free draining.

Thanks for all the comments especially Borderline. I have tried carefully removing and reseeding. Seems to come back though. Is there nothing that I can spray on to kill the weed, root and all.

It will be the seeds that keep coming back so all you can do is keep at it.
