Compost

What is the cheapest way of buying bags of compost? I am on a tight budget and I am always running out.  Please advise thank you in advance

Keep an eye on supermarkets. They often have compost at reasonable prices (although not always the well-known brands).
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

I buy mine from a local compost supplier, they do bulk, jumbo bag as well as 80L bags. If you can't find any ask one of the local gardeners or landscape companies where they get theirs.
  • The cheapest compost bags I buy from outside supermarkets I mix half and half with any old used compost and garden soil to bulk it up to twice as much. I then add NPK as it’s food. Unfortunately, you do get a lot of weed seedlings coming up. Valerie

The Range usually have good deals, I add used coffee grounds in a 50/50 mix for growing carrots and parsnip
