Allium Purple Sensation issue

I planted quite a few allium purple sensation in the garden this year.  Most are okay, however some are having a problem.  Although they have grown well some are keeling over before they flower so the stem looks like a shepherds crook about three inches below the flowerhead.  There seems to be some browning around the area where it bends but there is no outward sign of insect damage.  Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?  Thanks in advance.

It's something they seem to do, I can see several of mine bent over and some that were bent are now straight.
As there isn't anything you can do just leave them.

Thanks for the response.  Unfortunately several of those that are bent seem to be rotting off, at least the flowerheads appear to be withering a bit.  Can't honestly think what's causing it, never had this happen before and we've planted alliums for many years.
