Need help identifying these 4 trees please. I have attached a few close up photos.

1. Bay Tree
3 Silver Birch
4. Could be Beech.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I think tree 1 is a Holm Oak, Quercus Ilex. Tree 3 might be a Cherry Plum, Prunus Cerasifera.

I think
@Borderline
has a typo and 2 is a prunus. 3 is a silver birch. 4 may be beech.
I think 1 looks like our bay trees - the edible kind, not the hedging kind.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Apologies, Obelixx is right, I meant photo 2 is a Prunus, not 3.
Tree number 1 shows emerging catkins. Bay flowers don't look like that.

Could be. I looked at the leaves and form, not the catkin thingies.
