Peas not germinating?

    Couldn't sow oudoors as far too cold. So indoors.
    germination rate very low.
    Planted out last week 20 seedlings.
    Sowed more seeds again indoors as so far 15 have germinated.
    This was the same last year, very low germination rate for peas yet other beans type seeds have done really well.

    Thanks everyone. As it turns out I went out this morning to have a look and was delighted to find the first signs of some green shoots starting to poke through, so hopefully things are all right after all!
    A lot of good advice though, and next year I think I’ll start them off indoors in modules, so that at least I won’t have to worry about the mice.

    Watch out for slugs and pigeons they love pea shoots.

    Oddly enough the slugs and pigeons don't touch mine

    @Nanny Beach that's because they were too busy eating 11 of my 6"/8"  tall sunflowers!!!
