Knotweed or other weed

Hi folks,

Does anyone know if this is Japense knotweed? We've had a message around our allotment about it, not sure how to ID but this looks a bit suspicious to me

    Seems to be lacking the distinctive red veins and heart shaped leaf. But there are definitely enough similarities to be a little concerned. 

    My gut says no, but I'm not a professional.

    That is what I call Sorrel,  not sure if it’s the correct name but yours isn’t knotweed.

    Ohhh that's both @Lyn and @Greenbird , phew I am so glad!!!!!

    Those photos will come really in handy for future ID, as apparently there is some growing here but as of last week they said it wasn't in anyones beds

    I'd have said it looks like Broad-leaved Dock

    You’re probably right Dove,   That’s only what I call it, it throws up a red spike type flower if it’s left.

    Scrumple it in your hands and rub it on nettle stings @Lyn :D

    Sorry to say that it looks like knotweed to me too (I have some in my garden).  Is it actually coming up through tarmac in your second last picture? Wow...

    No. Different leaf shape. JKW is distinctly "squared off" at the petiole.
