Daffodil Bulbs

harmonyharmony Posts: 403
Good morning, I need to remove some daffodil bulbs from a pot and want to put them in the ground.
I would appreciate  advice on how to do this. Thanks

Dig a hole and put them in.  :)

Remove the flower heads, so they use the energy for next year's flowers, not seeds, but leave the foliage to die down naturally, to feed the bulb :)

You can give them a feed while they die back too. It gives them a boost.
It wouldn't matter if they were still in flower anyway - you can still plant them out no problem. I still have loads in flower and some varieties still to flower.  :)

@harmony, ignore the above post, it is an advert and applies to planting dry bulbs.

    Yay!  It’s been removed. 👍

@harmony, I did not mean ignore @Fairygirl, she talks very good sense. The post I meant, has been removed.

I think there's a couple of posters who might disagree with you on that @punkdoc ;)
