Little bush

Hi when I was 17 back in the 80s I grew some little anual bushes or little trees like a mini conifer that grew about 20 inches tall that started off green and turned red in autumn I grew them for about 3 years then never saw the seeds again can anyone help I would love to grow them again.

    I know the plant you mean, though I never grew it. Ferny leaves of quite a limy green, that gradually turned pinkish, then fully red before dropping.

    I'd forgotten about them. If I remember rightly, they make a good temporary hedge too.
    If you prefer, you could always go for the eBay scam variety😉

    Oh my goodness, fields full of sleeping gonks!! So that's where they've been hiding since the '70s :D
