cherry tree id?

Hi - this is growing next to my hydrangea - I think it's a cherry self seeded, and I should remove because it's right next to my neighbours wall.
Can you confirm it's cherry?
(and that it has no place there?)
thanks.

Yes, it looks like a cherry tree seedling.  Easiest to get it out now before it gets too big.  Hydrangea have much thicker stems.  The applemint will go nicely with some lamb...
  • ah, I hadn't spotted the applemint - I thought it had disappeared somehow - yes, I like it - generally just make an infusion/ tea.
I'm not good at cooking meat - especially lamb, but perhaps you will have inspired me!
thanks! - I have removed the cherry before, but possibly not hard enough - so it has returned.
    mmm
    thanks again.
