Site for compost bins

I'd like to move my compost bins (Dalek type *2) around the side of the house, but there is only about 1 foot of soil there, the rest would be on concrete. Is there a good way to manage to get the worms in but not have the compost seeping onto the concrete? The base options I see are usually for the full bin, rather than just about half of it.

    We have ,3 of these,we inherited 2, neighbour bought a posh wooden one,and gave us the old one,.they are right down the bottom of the garden,on slabs still full of worms, the compost doesn't seep out. Hubby cut panel out of the front bottom,added a little wood surround so you can remove compost.

    My 3 compost bins are all on concrete slabs laid on 6 - 8" of hardcore. They are full of red wrigglers. I think worm eggs must be present in soil clinging to the roots of composting plants and these hatch in the compost bin.

    To be doubly sure I usually add a spadeful of 'cooking' compost (which is usually full of worms) when I have between 6 and 12" of material in a 'new' bin.

    My three bins are stood on Terram (a root barrier fabric as near to a big tree) and we still get worms in the compost. Can't say I've ever noticed any run-off though. I'm sure your set up will be fine.
