Repacing a dead rowan with another rowan

My rowan tree died and was cut down recently. When it was inspected there was no obvious fungal damage. adding some images of the tree when cut. Is it sensible to replace it with another rowan later this year? Thank you

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It started to die in early summer, 2020. It went into leaf and then the leaves were all dead or gone by September the same year so it's been dead just under a year. That is one of the branches under the sawn trunk. J

One of the golden rules of gardening is "Don't plant the same species in the same place as one that has died." Risk of contamination.
