Help with ugly lawn spots

Hoping this isn't Couch Grass any ideas? Thanks for any help.

    There are many different species of grasses. Good news; this isn't couch grass, which is taller and has wider leaves. Basically you have two different species.  Your grass looks as if it is grown from seed, rather than turf.  Either buy more of the seed you have sown or go to where it was bought. Cut out the grass that looks different and reseed. Alternatively cut small pieces of turf from your present lawn and replant them in the odd-looking areas. Refill with sand rather than garden soil, which may have weed seeds. Good luck.
