Ugly patch in lawn

Hi

I’m looking for some advice, please. Last year, I had a bit of an accident while putting Miracle-Gro “4 in 1” on my lawn. Far too much got on to one particular area (about 1 metre in diameter) and scorched it (leaving that patch bare for about 6 months). I reseeded it and tried a few other things to help it recover but I guess the seed I used is different and the patch still stands out and looks ugly. Can anyone suggest what I might do to remedy this, please?

By the way, in case it isn't obvious (!), I am, at best, a novice gardener.

Thank you.

Go over the whole lawn with an electric rake then scatter the same type of seed all over the lawn.., this will help to blend the colours.

The patch may also be a darker colour due to there being more fertiliser on that patch of ground ..,it’ll take a couple of years for that to get used up.

Thank you @Dovefromabove. That sounds like a good plan. Just one thing: by "electric rake" do you mean a scarifier?

My machine has two interchangeable cylinders, one with blades for scarifying, and the other with metal tines for raking moss and thatch out of the lawn.
I wouldn’t want to be as severe as to scarify ... I’d just want to remove thatch and expose some soil for the grass seed to germinate in. I’d either do it this month or wait until September.
