Horsetail devils finger

Hello, I have a couple of these popped up at the back of garden. I think they are horsetail but look thicker. I had some horsetail in a previous house and found neudorff weed free plus kills it very quickly. This one has been sprayed twice and still looks healthy. Any suggestions or is it a case of picking it when it grows over the next few years I believe!!

sorry not sure how to turn the picture

Just hoe it off and bin it before it spores.  Keep hoeing any more that appear and make sure they don't go anywhere near a compost heap.   They have a high silica content so need to be thoroughly bruised for weed killers to penetrate and work.   The roots go down for miles so there's no point trying to dig it all up.  Just keep on top of it.
