Edgeworthia Grandiflora

I have had this plant in a large pot for about two years. Not doing so well. Found this within the plant. Does anyone know what it is and what I can do?

The only thing I can see is roots that need more room!

Agree.  You need either a larger pot and some good loam based compost to give it more root space and nutrients or to plant it out in the ground.

Either way, you'll need to soak that root ball and then tease out the roots so they don't keep going round and round and can be encouraged to head wider and deeper.  Plant it at the same level as before and water well.

  • Thank you very much. I have now transferred it to a 70ltr pot (hard work!). I was advised to add potting grit, which I did. Also gave it a feed of fish bone and blood and then a good water.
