Keter box small item storage

Hi all,

For a long time now I've been trying to find ways to store smaller items in our Keter box to no avail. I originally tried to glue hooks and use storage baskets and finally after many attempts I found some glue strong enough to hold the hooks/baskets.

However, after a couple of years the baskets have begun to sag, even with little weight in some of them.

So my question is, what can I do to replace the baskets and hanging arrangement with something more robust?

Thanks in advance!

    Would this work?

What are the internal dimensions of the box?

This Keter-made video shows shelves being added to a very large box so drilling external holes could be an option.

We stood a couple of old vegetable racks in ours for all our small bits and bobs. Might be an idea as an alternative to fixing anything to the sides

Use wire baskets as the inside of these boxes can get warm and that would explain the sag in the plastic ones over time.  Homebase / B&Q have a variety of them.

Yeah that's what I was thinking of getting, a free-standing unit maybe. The only problem is the lawnmower takes up a fair bit of space in the box so shelving would be better - had no idea that any shelves could be used as I couldn't find anything Keter-branded. Thanks so much for sharing the video, big help!

I was nervous about drilling holes in the box as I didn't want to compromise the waterproofing but seems as long as the screws are a snug fit it should be fine.

    The internal dimensions are:
    Height 110.0cm, Depth 76.0cm, Width 132.0cm

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll look into it!

Ah yes, that makes sense - I'll see what I can find.

As the official Recycling Manager for our house, you'll find there are many and varied containers arrive for disposal.  A simple shelved unit, as attached, will make use of them and provide labelled containers for each item.

If you're worried about screw holes letting water in, maybe try using some rubber washers as well as making the holes a tight fit for the screws. Choosing screw size to fit commonly-available washers might be easier than the other way round.

Have you been looking, BenCotto?  Faced with a tiny kitchen in our first house, that unit was devised as kitchen storage but, since moving to a bungalow with an enormous space, Management said I could have it for the shed.  Works well.
