Bare border

Hello. I have a very bare border along the fence. The lower 3/4 is shaded all day. Any ideas for shade loving plants to fill this area.

Lots of shade loving plants but a lot depends on what kind of sol you have - loamy, sandy, chalky, clay, moist, well-drained, dry - and roughly where you are as that will point to temperature ranges and exposure to wind and rain.

Probably more dry and well drained as it slopes

Hosta, Brunnera, Heuchera, Dryopteris fern should all be OK. Some hardy geraniums grow in shade, such as geranium phaeum. If the soil is moist and never dries out you can grow astilbes.

A garrya elliptica would work well. https://www.sundaygardener.co.uk/garrya-elliptica.html

IMO, Garrya looks really boring for at least 11 months of the year.
