North Manchester built up suburb. HUGE Wood Pigeons, Sparrows, Robins, Starlings, Thrush, Blue Tits, a pair of nesting Maggies, Kestral that sat on the fence for around 10 minutes, Black birds, Raven and Ring necked Doves.
Only responding to this because for the first time ever I saw house sparrows in my garden today! They usually hang around the houses that have native hedgerows.

I may also have had the house martins and swallows but I haven't seen them for such a while that I couldn't put them on the list. I wish I was a bird. They have such an easy life.
I don't really pay attention to the small birds, We have kites (red I think) buzzards, sparrow hawks, Osprey and barn owls. blackbirds, wrens, various tits, song thrush's, swallows, swifts, sparrows, starlings, collared doves, pied wagtails, goldfinches, (plus another bright yellow finch who's name I forget) spotted woodpeckers, jackdaws, robins, magpies, Jays, a solitary nuthatch, redstarts, lapwings, overhead we get a lot of different geese and swans but I don't recognise them from down here. and the best one? Cranes Massive things! we get them on the field and boy are they noisy when they are trying to impress eachother.
The small brown jobs kind of pass me by except when they eat my fruit/seedlings.
We counted over 70 in our last location in southern Spain, haven’t counted here in the North, but probably just over half that. Most exotic are Bee-Easters and Golden Orioles. We have resident Barn and Scops Owls and favourite small visitors are Eastern Sub-alpine Warblers, Nuthatches, Long-tailed Tits and Stonechats. There is a good range of tits, finches, thrushes, corvids, warblers etc. We are a mix of high sierras, evergreen oak forest, river valleys and arable.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I mostly get the same common types but sometimes there are a few more exotic visitors. Once I had a buzzard that had just caught a thrush on the patio ( ) and occasionally gold finches. It's suburban here but there is a lot of green space and woodland here and there.
My list is somewhat unfair for two reasons, Firstly I'm an experienced (45yrs) birder and secondly the garden is within 1/4mile from the sea and 1/4mile from a past RSPB nature reserve in East Yorkshire! A rough unchecked count of 103. Sadly i no longer own this garden..... but i am (I hope) moving into a new home on the 21st May with a much larger garden overlooking an extensive area of open wet farmland/marsh..... Should get Bitten, both egrets, all 5 owls and red kite on a more regular basis from the breakfast table.
