Can you just dig nettle leaves in the ground

Hi i just thought i could dig some nettles into a trench then put compost on then soil and put my courgette plants on top of it, i do not want to mess around with nettle tea i thought that the leaves would slowly rot and release nutrients into the soil, i think it be ok , what do the experienced gardeners think

Yes, I'd agree about 'no seeds' in particular, but nettles do seem to flower at a very early phase of their development so beware. Having said that, nettles are one of the finest nutrients for runner beans once well and truly decomposed.
