Is it too late to sow seeds for flowering this summer?

I have lychnis chalcedonia and I’d love it to flower for some colour this summer. Too late?

    Try some seeds and keep some for next year.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I’ll definitely try to sow some as there’s 2000 seeds so why not. I’ve got that and bunny tail, as recommended here previously. Just hoping I’ll get some colour in the summer if I start them all indoors now.

    Lychnis sown now will probably flower the following year. Annuals are probably a better bet, I sowed Tagetes and Zinnia pretty late last year and both flowered by late July/August

    Cosmos are fast growing. I sowed some in late July last year, they were flowering by September and kept going right into December

    Thanks for the suggestions. For some reason I thought lychnis were annuals that self seeded the following year. I have tagetes so will sow those. I used to sow cosmos but they kept falling over for me and in the end I gave up on them. They certainly didn’t last as long as December for me. I’ll give them another go next year.
