Leggy Frostbiten Hydrangea Help

Hi

My hydrangea is looking awful. It’s very leggy and damaged by frostbite.

Should I cut the hydrangea down? All the leggy stems are old wood, by doing that it might recover the shape.

Or should I leave it and just the frostbite damage off?

thanks
Thanks 🌻

I definitely would, you won’t get many flowers this year but next year it will be beautiful.
I wouldn’t touch the new bottom growth at the moment, just take the long branches down to the bushy bit.
