Animal droppings

Hi, im trying to find out who these droppings belong to. Its a fair weather animal, as the area floods in the rain. However, a dry night, last night and the droppings are back. Iv tried to catch them/it on camera but failing every night. Any ideas? I have a small pond above the wall where the droppings are found. I have a rabbit hutch on the patio, but no droppings found round the hutch. Your input would be much appreciated.  Thank you

Hedgehogs rootle around all over the place looking for worms, beetles etc.   Put out a saucer of dried meaty (not fishy) cat biscuits at dusk and leave the window open to listen for the crunching ... we can hear it over the sound of the tv most evenings  :)

  • Hedgehog poo looks like may have lungworm because of the green tinge.

There are lots of hedgehog threads on here ... lots of folk with Trail Cameras etc have managed to get good pictures.

There's also a really interesting and helpful website https://www.hedgehogstreet.org/ full of tips how you can encourage them in your area, joining up neighbouring gardens with little access 'tunnels' so that hedgehogs can 'meet up and proliferate' ... they travel quite a distance each night to get food etc.
We find that a dish of cat biscuits and a shallow dish of fresh water are used almost every night between March and late November.

We did have a hedgehog visiting years ago, but then we never saw him again. I will check out the link. He would be able to get through from other gardens and from over the back.  Thanks 😊
