Carex grass leaves went worse few weeks after cutting

Today I noticed one of my carex grasses leaves have got worse since I cut it back few weeks ago 
I cutted  it back as 1/3 tips were dead 
today noticed that the tips I cutted not have more than half dead tips 
have I killed it 
any advice what to do

    It may not have appreciated being cut.  I had a few carex forms in my last garden and only ever combed them with a rake or with my hands (gloved) to remove loose and dead foliage after winter.

    Yeah I’m starting to think that 
    maybe I should just put in bin and start again

    Agree with @Obelixx - carex are best "combed" rather than cut.
    You may not need to bin it if you can see any new shoots appearing in the next few weeks.  If so, a bit of TLC and it should recover.
