What is this caterpillar please?

Any ideas? Found on some plant pot feet under my small rose plant. Elephant hawk moth maybe?

    Not a terribly good photo unfortunately. A moth of sorts perhaps but @wild edges may know for sure.
    If no one can ID, easiest way is to place the caterpillar in a small container with leaves of the plant it favoured, a ventillated lid, keep an eye on it - replenishing leaves as necessary and see what happens.

    It's hard to see, but doesn't look hawk mothish to me.

    A close up shot of the body and one of the face would be useful for ID.

    It’s a Hoverfly larva.
