    Dove’s Foot Cranesbill

I would remember that one wouldn’t I?  But it’s a lot daintier than my  feet 😂

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Great, that's it, must look after it, thank you

This has been appearing in my garden the last couple of years, you may not have to worry about looking after it as apparently it selfseeds freely and is now popping up everywhere, including the lawn...I read that it can spread into lawns which are ‘growing poorly’ so I’m taking it personally 😂

I believe it is shining cranesbill, geranium lucidum. Not hairy like doves-foot, but smooth and shiny.
Pretty, and easy to pull up after flowering if you don't want too many. (Similar to forget-me-nots in this respect.)
  • Thanks, just had another look, and it has spread a bit, must keep my eye on it, !!!
