Can anyone identify this wildflower?

My sister was walking through a woods close to her house (Bristol, UK) and came across this flower, growing out of an embankment. Can anyone identify it? I’ve never seen anything like it. She said it was about the size of her hand, with no others around like it. It had quite a short stem.

It's purple toothwort, Lathraea clandestina. It's parasitic on roots of hazel, alder, poplar and beech trees, and has no green parts - it gets all its nourishment from its "host" tree.

Can anyone identify this wildflower?
