Are grass clippings with weed killer in compost bad?

I was making a compost heap yesterday with grass clippings - I don't put anything on my grass. My neighbour was cutting their lawn so I asked for their clippings too.
It's just occured to me they might spray weed killer or some lawn treatment. I will ask next time I see them. Just wondering if this would be a problem for compost? Its mixed with a large amount of woodchips and kitchen scraps so would be quite some amount of affected grass anyway.
Compost will be used for vegetable growing. I would test it out by sowing a bean before use anyway. Thanks.

I recall reading somewhere that so long as treated grass clippings are composted for at least 6 months it should be ok.
But of course it depends on what chemical your neighbour may or may not have spread on their lawn.
So to give a more accurate response we'd need to know what if anything was used on the lawn.
