What’s wrong with my tulips?

Hello! New bulbs, new compost, old pot. All tulip heads are small, grey and dying or dead. Other pots have flowered well. Do I need to worry about disease spreading?

Were all the pots filled with the same compost and variety of tulip?

Hi Ceres. Yes, same compost and selection of tulips bulbs.

Probably best to isolate that pot, safely dispose of the tulips and the compost and make sure the pot is cleaned very, very well. Tulips seem to be easily infected with diseases, at least that is my experience.

Tulips are hardy. When did you plant them? It's very important to plant tulips late in the year.at least late November or December. It does look like it could be the beginning of TULIP FIRE, then you need to get rid of them, don't compost them.

Fire, I don’t think they were more likely to be more impacted by the cold than other pots. Ceres and Nanny Beach, thank you. Will not compost just in case.
