Hi not a great photo but my cosmos, salvia and other seedlings have grown well but I forgot to pinch them out as they are all nearly flowering and are very ‘standard’ shape, not bushy at all. Is it too late to do anything to make them more bushy?
It appears that in you plants have grown fast. In general gardening terms. Pinching out applies to, pinching out the growing tip. Usually this is done to stop upward growth and cause new growth to develop outwards, thus making the plant bushy. In your case, you will probably find that the plant will now send out several side shoots along the stem length.
