    Yes ... that's bindweed ... looks like the white flowered Greater Hedge Bindweed to me. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    You could paint each leaf with the gel type of glyphosate to get rid of it.  (roundup gel in a stick)

    Let the stems get long enough to bundle up in a plastic bag. Then spray with glyphosate. It grows into my hedge from next door. Impossible to dig out
