Would you complain about this rose bought online

Just received a rose I bought online.  Can't complain about the health of the rose itself, but am hugely disappointed that the stems are growing at a really acute angle to the bud union - I definitely would not have selected this one in the shop.  Question is - do you think I have fair grounds to ask them to replace it, or do you not think it's that bad?

    Did you intend to plant it near a walk or a fence?

    Replant it at the correct angle?
    Depends what sort of rose it is.If a climber/rambler maybe aim it where it will be climbing?

    I was going to plant it in a bed to climb up an obelisk.

    No. It looks healthy, and you'll need to prune it next winter anyway so you'll get canes growing in different directions next year.

    I asked this on the Rose thread after a similar delivery. The consensus seemed to be that you can plant it with the canes up and the roots at an angle or if you plant it canes growing away from the sunny aspect then it will send new ones out towards the sun, or as others have mentioned use the directionality (!) to your advantage.
    Edit. I did no2 and it is working.

    It’s growing better than my ones that we’re planted last year, one or two of the main stems on mine failed this spring. I like yours. Valerie
