I'm just sick of other people trying to put a guilt trip on me over my choices of what to do with my garden. They are admittedly wasting their time as I will continue to do what I want to do with my garden.
I think golf courses actually make an effort to contribute to nature as well. One near us has one of the rarest flowers in the UK on its land. It looks after the greens but also the rough and boundaries which can often be a very good wildlife habitat in good courses in some areas. Then again you'd probably have a lot less dune terrain in some areas of the UK without the links golf courses actually being the force of protection of that terrain. Of course not perfect but then again not every garden is neither, some are just wastelands.
Personally loss of golf as a sport might be a very good thing but I think it's my always clear loss of golf courses is a good for nature as people might think.
Personally rewinding football pitches might also be a good idea. Anyone fancy using the super league fiasco as a good campaigning point for the ending of professional football and enforced rewilding of the grounds?
The wordy thing on this phone is way too fast for me,oh yeah pre empting is that right, some times I spot before I click post or send. I swear it changes things afterwards. I realize now why my kids texts make no sense.
