Help identifying weed between my patio tiles.

Hi all,

I have a lot of these little seedlings growing between my patio tiles. Can anyone tell me what it is?
Thanks!

Looks like one of the willow herbs - they get everywhere!

You're not kidding, it was clear  a few weeks ago and now the entire patio is covered. I was worried it was Japanese knotweed

Their seeds come supplied with a little feathery sail, so they go where the wind takes them :)

    No ... it's not Japanese Knotweed.   B)

  • Thanks, starting plucking them out one by one. Won't leave them next time haha

Try an old kitchen knife - or a Hori Hori if you''re feeling flush :)

boiling water works well on small weeds in a patio as well, just keep it off your toes!

They are a pretty flower, but don't let it go to seed

Weed burners work very well on annual seedlings like these, too.  I would recommend that once you deal with them, consider sowing and growing something like creeping thyme in the gaps, or you'll be forever weeding. ;)
