Vine weevil
Hello fellow gardeners, I have a vine weevil problem. I've already lost 2 huchera and i have it in my viburnum and eunonymous hedging. I know you can use nematodes in pots but could you use it on hedging? ( roughly 3- 4 meters) also underneath some of the hedging it's gravel on top of weed membrane so not direct soil. Any advice would be hugely appreciated, Thanks.

Nematodes can be used on open ground and pots but the soil has to be warm and kept moist but only works on the larve.
With Heuchera, which the larvae like, it's best to give the plants a gentle pull a couple of times a week, if they pull out, either empty the pots or dig around the pots to find the larvae, wash the plant roots and repot. Heuchera regrow quite well from very little root.
It's unlikely you have the larve in your hedging but damage on the leaves from the adults which was very widespread last year.
