Yew tree hedge going yellow
Now the second time we are trying to establish this yew hedge in our garden but again the yews are starting to turn yellow. Some are ok and some next to each other very yellow. Fed with bone meal, watered and not watered. Any help please!

However, if this is your 2nd attempt and it isn't working, it may be better to consider another type of hedging.
Are they big specimens - they're always harder to get established too.

The foot of a wall is always dry, and new plants of any kind need a lot of moisture to get them established and thriving. While yew won't appreciate sitting in permanently wet conditions, it still needs enough moisture to establish. However, if your soil is unimproved clay, that could be a problem too, as drainage could be poor.
