Recommendations please - soil to fill-in a pond

Okay, so I've already started to fill in my Dads old Koi pond (which was quite big). It's now down to a size of approx 5m x 3m x 400mm, which (according to the interwebs) is about 7 tonnes of soil. I don't want to put bricks, etc that shallow as I'm looking to sow grass seed and make a lawn over it.
After a few weeks of searching (and accepting the inevitable) it's looking like soil is going to cost me around £500-£600 (or more!). I'm now realising this (quite frankly staggering) cost does NOT include delivery, which is even more ridiculous that the price of the soil! I've been quoted between £200 and £400 for delivery so far!
Can anyone recommend a company with reasonable rates that delivers in the Leicestershire area please? I don't want to go down the freecycle/gumtree root as I need a lot of soil and have no way of collecting this amount.

Growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional.

Please excuse typo. I'm still in shock re delivery charges.
Have you tried Wanlip Sand and Gravel. It's also cheaper to have it tipped rather than bags.
Just checked CPA HORTICULTURE and 9 bags comes out at £711 but delivery seems to be free to Leicestershire
