How to transplant very old fruit trees

Hi all,
My grandma was a keen gardener with an amazing garden. Very sadly she is having to go into a home.

My grandma was a keen gardener with an amazing garden. Very sadly she is having to go into a home.
I am wondering whether it is possible to transplant old fruit trees? I estimate they are at least 40-50 years old.
I would love to move some of her fruit trees into my garden as a way of keeping alive some of the great memories we have. The house and garden have been in the family for years.
I wonder if this is at all possible with old trees or if it is not feasible?
The three trees I am looking at are a Spartan apple, a pear and a plum tree. They are not very big.
I would greatly appreciate any advice. The trees are greatly loved for their sentimental value and I would love to have them in my garden.

Failing that, you need expert tree people to dig out the trees, complete with their root balls and transport them into ready prepared planting holes. It will take some serious machinery and expertise and, no doubt, a serious fee. It's also best done in autumn once the trees have gone dormant so you reduce stress and even then success isn't guaranteed
I suggest you get some photos of your gran and her family sitting under her trees and then buy new trees which will cost less, grow better and provide similar association memories.
