Sad Hydrangea

Hi,
my hydrangea’s leaves are not looking good. The end of the leaves look almost burnt. I have no idea why.
Fliwer buds are appearing and it’s grown nicely this spring, but something looks odd.
Any chance for some help please?
thank you v  much.

Jest cold, that’s all, when the weather warms up you can take those leaves off and the plant will be fine.
    nothing to worry about.

  • Thank you. Hopefully this late April frost is behind us and it will all sort itself out then.

Another week of it here then it will warm up a bit. Apart from my hydrangeas, the euonymus and bay tree have been hit the worst.

  • My two pink mopheads are exactly the same. The frosts and warm sunshine during the day is what I'm putting it down to. I shall wait until the chance of frosts have past, then remove the burnt leaves. Friday mornings frost was hard :s

Yes sharp frosts in the morning have caught my hydrangeas too and also I have lost three rosemary bushes over the early months of this year.

All ours have suffered with frost damage even into May.
    Hopefully they will survive.

    Mine too looks like that.

Can someone tell me if it is too late to prune about 4" of the top of the branches? Thanks.

I think you’ll be removing the flowers.
