New honeysuckle wilting and purple leaves
Hi everyone, a couple of weeks ago I purchased a small honeysuckle plant (about 30cm high in a 9cm pot). Unfortunately I forgot about it over a sunny weekend as I’d inadvertently hidden it behind another plant waiting to be potted up and then found it terribly wilted. After a good watering and potting into fresh soil one of the two stems came back to life and the leaves looked healthy again. After a week in a shady spot indoors it had recovered and was putting out new leaves. However, yesterday I went to pot it up and much to my dismay noticed all of the leaves have wilted again overnight and some near the base are purple. The soil was still moist, although I watered it again just to see if it helped but today there’s no change in the plant.
I have looked online and see that the purple leaves is possibly a response to the plant being stressed, but as the soil has been kept moist and it’s in the shade I don’t know what else to do, I’m really hoping it can be saved I’m but out of ideas - any help would be gratefully received!

But most of all I would suggest that you get it planted out into the garden in a place with shade around the roots and water it well, a good soak not a sprinkle. Keep it moist for a couple of weeks and see if it improves. They are woodland plants and prefer mostly shade and moist soil. Come back and let us know if it worked
I’ve attached a photo of the whole plant and a close up of one of the leaves which has turned purple. I will do as you suggest and get it planted out, I don’t think I realised how warm it was inside which probably hasn’t helped. I will let you know how it gets on
