Lobelia clump size

Mr. Vine EyeMr. Vine Eye Posts: 2,394
Hi all, first time growing this from seed. I’ve already scooped out some clumps and potted them, they’re growing well, but how many should I have per clump?

Ive got between 6 and 10 in each one at the moment, should I thin them?

They look fine to me @Mr. Vine Eye you need enough to form a bush or drift when planted.😀

Lucky thing mine have all failed.
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.

So have mine @Jacquimcmahon except for about 3.  I have planted them into a pot but spaced.  Probably the wrong thing to do.  It's raining here, so they are getting a good drink.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Oh they’re trailing type to go in a hanging basket if that makes a difference!

No difference, yours look just right for a hanging basket.

Mine look very similar to yours, just a bit younger. They are growing well after a slow start, but won't need re-potting for a bit, as I sowed direct into modules. I deliberately overplanted as the seed was old, and of course I then got good germination!
It always seems like a miracle when something grows from such a minute seed :)
