    Mine flowers sporadically all through the summer. I don't expect it to flower in spring like the deciduous types.  Last summer it formed a load of seed pods. It definitely has the flowers before the seed pods.  Photos taken last July and August This tree is 30 years old.
  • wow, that is a stunning tree. Certainly makes my one look very ill. I’m going to dig in some mulch and feed it also. My friend reckons it was planted too close to the driveway and can’t spread its roots sufficiently. Hopefully I’ll get him better and it can look like your tree. Amazing they’re so historic and lovely that others are excited about their first flowers too ☺️.

    This is ours in July 2019. It’s grown maybe a foot taller, but brushed out a bit.

  • And you’ve beautiful flowers already! Mine is definitely struggling. Fingers crossed he’ll get better 😓
